My ISP has tried to gaslight me into thinking that having a simple Apache server at home is too much for my “residential router” to handle. Obviously, bullshit. So I disconnected it and turned it off, proving them wrong. I also checked the router’s diagnostics and it seems like the issue lays with the optic fibre cables, since we are not receiving the correct intensity.
(screenshot showing pings to Cloudflare’s 1.1.1.1 and Google, IIRC). As you can see, with the server off, I still get about 50% dropped packets. IE: no internet half of the time.
