i finally finished it! :ultrafastparrot: i made a book from scratch containing all the amazing tales from #C06RQ9TTEG3|! introducing ✨tales from the trail ✨, a hand-made book that i binded with leather and some old-looking paper. i wrote about the AWESOME experiences that we had out there in the woods and all the amazing cool friends i made! btw tail is by far the best group! and the best part i think was the fun little 3d paper gadget things (tent that you can open and there are two sleeping bags inside), tiny lake dioramas (blue hot glue basically), pop-ups (a very wonky looking bear and FIRE!!) and other trinket stuff (like a magnifying glass to inspect people's faces if thats something you like to do)! hope you enjoy! :) fun fact: the book spine has pink himalayan salt hot-glued on for some reason the entire book: docs.google.com/document/d/16lMUuA6GF8RqRvB3axDwEq4kIcqhxX17YrtS4XYHUTI/edit?usp=sharing repo (including video): github.com/themagicfrog/talesfromthetrail btw... another google-doc style recount about EVERYTHING that happened (that i know of) on #C06RQ9TTEG3| is coming soon :eyes_shaking:. it's very extensive, and SEVENTY pages :heavysob: long . i just gotta organize it and shorten it...

I have finished my Love2D rhythm game after almost 45 hours of work. My plant is dying because I haven't been taking proper care of it. So, I decided to create a PCB that can be placed in the soil of the vase. It uses an ESP32, which has both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, allowing me to program it to send notifications when the soil needs water. I can also create a website to store and display all the plant data, like how often I water it each day. The PCB includes a DHT11 sensor to monitor the air temperature and humidity, and I've added a MAX17048G to keep track of the battery voltage. It also features a TP4056 module for charging the battery. To make it visually appealing, I'll design a 3D-printed case that looks like a flower to house the PCB. It'll look awesome in the vase! 🚨 Did you even hear the news about the Spotify Car Thing? Apparently, it's hitting the road for good in December. Sad times! That little gadget had a surprisingly slick UI, paired with its handy media control knob. It was a bummer they never took it further. That's why I'm building this web project! It's like a mini graveyard for the Car Thing's potential, keeping its awesome UI alive. This is post (2/3) for my LOVE2D Horizon Driving Game! I've been grinding the 2023-24 FRC Cadvent challenges a bit, and I thought I'd do a scrapbook post since I'm about halfway (11/25 done). These have been an awesome challenge to test my abilities to interpret drawings and generally understand how to use cad most effectively. hi all! :hyper-dino-wave: this is my first ever ship! i made a website with next.js showcasing the awesome #the-trail equipment so people can look back in the future and remember how epic each project was. i have the main framework all done so now it's very easy to add more projects, which i'm going to continue to do. the theme is a pcb trail map! over the next few days, i'm hoping to make the art better, get it to be aligned on different sized-screens, put more information about each project, and add more projects! :) also i think it would be really cool to add a function where you can "buy" the product by getting in contact with the people who made it. there are so many cool trail projects! github.com/magic-frogg/trailwebsite

For #arcade I have implemented (finally, took many hours of debugging) an authentication abstraction over surrealdb It allows you to sign up with a basic username / email / password which is persisted on the server, then sign back in with the same email and password Crucially, this is all implemented in Rust, including the databasing implementation itself (which is AWESOME!), the scripting language and the testing framework (cargo). Because of this there is rather a lot of dependencies, around 870! Takes a while to cold compile ;)
