(Resubmitted because of again issues x3) I made a 3D Printer Filament extruder that takes raw ABS pellets and turns them into a roll of filament ready to print! How it works: 1. Raw pellets are fed through a hopper into the extrusion tube. 2. The pellets are melted down through an auger bit and pushed through a custom CNC milled nozzle 3. The filament passes through two fans to cool it 4. It passes through a diameter sensor which controls the puller speed to keep consistent diameter 5. A gantry aligns the filament on the roll 6. Finally, the spooler rotates and spools the filament Notes: Much of this project was completed outside of HackClub, but I completed much of the final assembly in HackClub. This component was ENTIRELY custom designed (with a few reference models like the electronics) and custom manufactured involving: • CNC routing on my custom CNC router (PCBs and metal parts) • Lasercutting (I used a laser cutter I have access to to lasercut all the panels) • 3D printing (Corner parts, all other parts made on my Voron 2.4) CAD: Due to the huge size of the CAD model, I cannot realistically upoad it. Also hypertuned the shove and travel on my vexai robot to be smooth. And aforementioned laser distance sensors are being used for a position sync at the end allowing for perfect positioning between loops. This bot has no smarts so let's hope the opponents don't decide to play defense.

Day 5 of #10-days-in-public: Not much today, just did a bit of CAD and laid out some revised parts so they'll be ready for laser cutting. This will eventually be a camera/display mount!

Day 2/3 of #hack-club-at-fossasia-23!! I felt the need to post about this as a ship, as we committed a couple of shenanigans along the way~ :sphere: 1. Yes, we did a lil thing to #place - some of us here got bored and went to a Starbucks, where we sat and masterfully constructed the one and only John Cena. Then, we returned to the place and updated the board with a photo from #lion-city-hacks-bts!! DON'T WORRY WE ARE NOT HERE TO TROLL (although the john cena one was good, it was just a test - sorry @belle :p) 2. I worked with LionsForge to laser-cut a @dinobox acrylic piece! Going to buy an LED base to put this on :partyparrot: 3. Many stickers from everywhere - this is now the premier event where I got the most swag from 4. We set up a challenge for FOSSASIA participants to draw their versions of @orpheus!! The results were.... pretty diverse, and we will be sending them sometime tomorrow I think Here are some photos from today - a video update can be found in our planning channel linked above! Behold my cubes! I learned how to design and laser cut a cube using OnShape today! Included figuring out tolerances, and using lots of parametric design tools in OnShape to get the pieces fitting together correctly.

someone stole a piece of this all white puzzle that we’ve been working on in the library for literal MONTHS, so me and some friends traced the empty spot on to a piece of paper, scanned it in, traced it into a vector and cut a new one with the laser cutter :ultrafastparrot: i can’t describe how satisfying it was putting that last piece in 😌
