this is a pretty fun project that i worked on a few months ago with some friends at a hackathon: it's a chrome extension that tazes you when you go on a distracting website (like instagram or whatever you want)

today, i just worked on adding a "stand up reminder" feature, which reminds the user to stand up at a set interval
one day, i got really obsessed with mental math on this site called zetamac. but the site wasn't very good, the ui was from the 1900s, there weren't many settings, and the servers often crashed.
i wanted to try making my own mental math practice site, inspired by the likes of monkeytype and cybertype: something fast and easy that anyone can visit and start practicing instantly.

#arcade anyone use processing? like playing trivia? i made a game that combines both!
processing is a more niche language, and i wanted to give it a try this weekend. i spun up trivmastter, a trivia game that uses processing's g4p library

• incremental reading and buzzing, as if you were playing with a real game master who was reading the questions out loud
• implementation of damerau-levenshtein distance algorithm to account for typos (shakespear -> shakespeare)
